Making a Difference - 100 PwC Interns Conduct Project Belize

"Remember when intern projects might also include re-organizing the file cabinet in alpha order? Well, times have definitely changed. Now, our interns are invited to take part in some of our most important PwC projects. In July, 100 PwC interns from across the United States headed for the heart of Central America to conduct Project Belize. Their objective: to work for a week helping to improve the school system in Belize City by teaching business skills and refurbishing local elementary schools. PwC Interns Volunteer for Operation Hope at Chicago Schools

"This month, PwC interns from the Chicago, Milwaukee, and Peoria offices volunteered their time to Operation Hope at two Chicago schools. PwC interns instructed financial education sessions from Operation Hope's 'Banking on Our Future' program to youths in grades 4 through 8. Both students and interns had a great time!"

FLITE enrolls teachers in the Certified Educator in Personal Finance® (CEPF®) program, a professional certification and training program developed to improve the knowledge and expertise of financial literacy educators.

Teachers who complete the FLITE program receive a CEPF designation, administered by the Institute for Financial Literacy's Center for Financial Certifications."
